6x9 Pinhole
6x9 Pinhole camera made from old Pronto D.R.P. bellows camera. I bought this
wreck of a once great camera with intention to transform it into pinhole
camera with very wide angle of view. This camera has been abused badly but the
lens looks fine and the shutter and aperture are working perfectly. I had to
remove the bellows, clean the inside of the camera and seal the holes in the
body. I used the front plate and removed the ugly faux skin. That revealed an
awful amount of rust. After drilling the hole in the middle of the front plate,
I was pretty much done.
Focal distance: 35 mm (shortest distance)
Pinhole diameter: 0.185 mm
Aperture: f/189
Camera how it looked out of the box. Nice 105mm f/4.5 Meyer Optik Görlitz lens with central shutter. Metal plates are badly scratches. Probably somebody wanted to open the camera using brutal force. The side supports are mising and only one is left, the other one is broken. There is nothing that will hold the lens in position.
After the bellows and lens is removed. You can see that the front plate has various parts sticking out. All those have to be removed.
Notice the bent metal plates around the film hole. These holded the bellows. I bent them back so they won't cast shadow on the film. I was playing with the idea to let them stick out and make their mark on the film.
Removing the faux leather from front plate revealed an awful amount of rust. Sandpaper comes to help.
Shiny front plate is about to be drilled through.
Light seals are done using buttloads of electrical tape.
0.185 mm pinhole made by needle in tinfoil.
Pinhole is installed in place
Fomapan 400 is ready to be loaded.
What needs to be done? I'd like to install the gravity shutter operated by wire release.
